Dear Readers:
Our Health Hiatus is over!
Late in January our editor discovered her colon cancer had returned for the third time in as many years. This time the treatment began
immediately with day surgery to re-install the portocath; the method of receiving
chemotherapy.
Then it was on to chemo; this time the side effects were devastating. Our editor battled nearly all of them including the rare ones.
Eventually in June surgery became necessary to unblock the colon. It was a success in removing the largest part of the cancer.
For the first time in three years the cancer has been described as 'spots', the parts that are left that chemo should remove. It's a change
from hearing 'a large mass' the usual description of this dreadful disease.
From late January there was always hope that we would be able to publish but the future was always uncertain with various methods to combat
the side effects resulting in different issues.
Both of our publications The Toronto Tribune and
International Art Treasures Web Magazine have been on a health hiatus since January.
We're thrilled to be back!
With our kindest regards,
The Toronto Tribune
