Judi Cohen: Failed Sycophant

Give Judi a "W", an "I", a "M", and a "P" and what do you have : Cohen's cheer for Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair.

Cheerleaders are meant to inspire, to show support. The Toronto Police Services Board are not cheerleaders, though clearly some members, like Judi Cohen, act like they are.

Cohen when asking Blair for some information, at the March 28th meeting of the Toronto Police Services Board, pointed out her questions weren't criticisms.

That leads us to ask, just how thin skinned is Chief Bill Blair? So much for the cheering section. Way to make the Chief look like a wimp. He can't take a question unless it's formed as an apology?

The Toronto Tribune has noticed that Blair has some nervous habits. The top cop in all of Toronto chews his nails. At the last board meeting he chewed his glasses. Perhaps he needed bucking up, what he didn't need was to be made to look like a fool.

According to their own website the TPSB's is the "civilian board that oversees the Toronto Police Service".

Oversight doesn't involve cheerleading or boot-licking. It's pointing out when Blair and the cops get it wrong and acknowledging when they get it right. Fearing Bill's feelings will be hurt by a question posed by a member of the oversight board is a disservice to Chief Bill Blair and a disservice to the people of Toronto.

Cohen should ask questions and get answers. She shouldn't apologize when she actually does her job; though the way she does her job leaves a lot to be desired, for that she should apologize to Toronto.
